I LOVE THIS CAR! I drive Uber Full Time. This serves my professional purposes well and should be a great family car. Economical to operate, fun to drive, sporty handling for a small SUV. Not high-performance, but a good balance between economical operation and reliability. I've put almost 24k miles on this car in 4.5 months and the only hiccup was a bad main ground connection - easily fixed. This car is six model years old and I get compliments on its appearance.
What a ride! With its 3.5 liter V6 engine, this mid-size SUV had just the right amount of pick-up I was looking for to be able to merge onto freeways and accelerate quickly when needed. I bought my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe brand new in December 2004. My Santa Fe is black and I added the running boards, making it look sportier than the plain ones. In my four years of owning this vehicle, I've never had any repairs done and only taken it to the shop for oil changes and routine maintenance. This vehicle has enough weight to make it handle well in both rain and snow yet is not so heavy to make it a gas-hog. My Hyundai averages 17 mpg city and 24 mph highway. There is plenty of space in this vehicle: in the front passenger seat for my husband who is 6'4" as well as in the rear seat for my father-in-law who is 6'5" tall. I've hauled luggage and moved boxes and always had plenty of cargo space for them. With its warranty and quality, the Hyundai Santa Fe is a great vehicle.
Our Red 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe was totaled in a wreck. Both my wife and I loved the car because it had been so trouble free and absolutely gorgeous. We looked for another red Santa Fe on the internet to replace it and found one at CarMax. We purchased it and the updates (i.e. side airbags) and ultra smooth operation on the 2011 Santa Fe so impressed us that we also replaced our 2008 Subaru Impreza with a white 2011 Santa Fe. We are so pleased that we now have cars that we both feel safe and comfortable in.
