I rented a lot of cars before I went shopping for one. All of them were good cars but most of the newer cars have "sharper" edges on the center console, etc which started to hurt and bruise my legs after about an hour of driving. The Sonata has smoother edges so my legs are more comfortable.
Excellent car and great value for the dollar

The car's styling is first. Then the quality of fit and finish. Measures up to my wife's Acura. It has a lot of accessories we don't use but suspect we aren't the average customer of today as we are a bit older. Good gas mileage and handled very well. As good as any Japanese or European sports sedan and cost a lot less.
Not sure if it wants to be a sedan or a race car.

These cars are fast and get great gas mileage. They handle pretty well at higher speeds, I do a lot of interstate driving for my work commute, 30 miles one way, I drive 80 mph for most of the trip but I am a guy so I had to know how fast it would go. This car tops at about 133 and after 120 it takes a little while to wind out top gear, definitely more than any normal person needs. I grew up driving high powered vehicles and this will satisfy most people's need for speed. I get mixed data of 198-200 hp. Which is plenty for me. My friend has the 2.0 T and it rates 274 hp. and will hit over 150 mph. The ride is more like a sports car on the interior, passengers say the seat is too low and not enough adjustment, although plenty of leg room.
