2006 Hyundai GLS V6 4WD

2006 Hyundai Tucson Rknee - Lady Lake, FL 01/18/2007

For our needs this is an excellent vehicle for the money. I was not specifically looking for a 4WD but very pleased with the ride and low noise level. The car is very comfortable and has better rear visibility than any of the smaller SUV's I have driven. (I have rented cars almost weekly for the past 20 years). The dash is driver friendly with all controls accessible and easily seen. The car is very easy to get in and out of and the drivers seat is easily adjusted for each driver. There are numerous cup holders and some of them accomodate large water bottles. This vehicle handles extremely well although we have not had it in any incelement weather to date so I cannot comment on its performance with a slippery surface. I do believe it will be excellent as it has ESC as well as TCS. We have averaged around 24mpg highway and 22mpg city driving. Negative items I have noticed would be the lack of an outside temperature read-out on the dash; the hatch window in the tailgate raises independently of the door but is not very practical due to the small opening. When the AC is on, the compressor causes a noticeable strain and sound from the engine, similar to a vibration. A major plus was when we received our new insurance policy, it increased a mere $8.00 per year. I feel this is due to the amount of safety features this vehicle has which must be recognized by the insurance companies. It's unusual for a vehicle in this price range to have ESC, TCS as well as 6 airbags as standard equipment. I would buy this vehicle again due to the overall quality, safety and comfort features.

2006 Hyundai Tucson Mid Major - Lawrenceville, GA 05/07/2012

I was looking downsize from a large SUV for gas milage purposes. I wanted a vehicle that could haul occasional loads, was comfortable, easy to get in and out of, had a smooth ride, manueverability, stylish looks, got decent gas milage and was affordable. I found all of that in the Hyundai Tucson. The most important thing in driving is how you feel behind the wheel of the automobile. This vehicle gives me a feeling of comfort and confidence. The Tuscon has more headroom than my former SUV and just as much leg room. This is important for a 6'3" frame. The dash board is clean, attractive and user friendly. The V6 engine gives me ample power. It has great acceleration from a dead start. I am very happy with my decision to purchase a Tucson.
