I really like this car. Buying an older model (the first year they made them, I believe) in 2012 gave me the financial freedom to upgrade to all the fancy options including heated front seats, sunroof and electronically controlled front passenger seat, among others. I especially like the legroom in the driver's seat. All the buttons are where they should be on the dash and all the back seats fold down handily. Visibility is good all around. Handling is good and gas mileage is, well, OK. The one less than optimal thing I've noticed is outside noise (mainly wind); the car could be quieter. But then again I got a great stereo system. Comparing this to many other makes this clearly seemed to have the best combination of features and to be the best value. So far I am very satisfied. In addition I bought a trailer hitch from Curt Mfg and it looks as if it will be VERY easy to install.
couldn't have gotten a better deal for everything in the vehicle I couldn't be more happy
Knew I was going to buy a Hyundai because of the positive reports I had read about their cars and warranty. I was set on the Santa Fe, but at the last minute decided to go with the Veracruz. It is a little bigger and seemed to get the same mileage rating, more or less. I test drove both models and absolutely loved the way the Veracruz handled and how comfortable it is. Too bad I didn't have that third row seating when my kids were younger, but it is a nice feature even without lots of kids. I always wish to get better mileage, but I need a car to fit my 4 dogs so that is the sacrifice I make driving a bigger car. I get about 20 MPG with 50-50 split of city/freeway driving.
