I've been driving SUV's for the past 11 years. Both my husband and I are 6' + tall so we need the leg room and I like having a vehicle that can transport larger items and does better in snow. What I don't like about a typical SUV is that there is no room in the backseat for other passengers or, as it turns out, much room for a carseat. With the birth of our daughter we began looking for other options that would still be SUV-like but with more room in the rear. The Veracruz is great for that. It handles well, is beautiful and just generally is a great car. I will say that it's a bit wider than my past SUV's (a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2000 Explorer before that) which I'm getting used to. Additionally there is no 4 wheel drive so I find that I have to be a little more careful on snowey roads since the weight of the vehicle is that of a typical SUV. All and all I love this car!!
It's a great size SUV for a family of 6 or 7, Feels comfortable and safe in every seat. The 3rd row is amazing.
We love everything about this car ! It is beautiful to look at, it drives like a dream and everyone has plenty of room. The back seat even moves back if you have adults riding and need a little more leg room. We have a 10 year old daughter and she loves the built in DVD player. The back seat A/C works great and we no longer have to listen to complaints about the back being too hot. We have not had to use the 3rd row seat feature, but it will be nice if I am hauling 5th graders to the football game. Love the automatic hatch closure and the keyless door locks. Never having to fish for your keys is awesome ! Let me tell you, I could not be happier with our Veracruz. If you are looking for a family car and you do any traveling with kids, You gotta buy a Veracruz ! Unless of course, you want to spend 10K more for an Acadia, Enclave or Lexus. They are exactly the same car as the Veracruz just more expensive.
