I realize it may look a little a little too much like a Nissan Altima. You tend to forget these things when you're screaming down the curvy back roads or blowing past that German sedan on the highway that cost $50k when it was new. Haven't had it long enough to judge the reliability, but if it is as cheap to maintain as the other Japanese cars I've owned, then that's just one more reason to be happy.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.642857142857143 reviews) I'm grateful that Infiniti hasn't messed with the external styling, electronics, and other features of this car (including the 2014 model!) in favor of recent, new-model fads (for example, cylinder deactivation, LEDs in "smiley" configurations polluting front-end head-light assemblies, "start-stop" engine set-ups designed to save one or two mpg, etc.). Infiniti, to its credit, has continued to offer the G37 (and now its "Q" series), in a more traditional, sustainable, classic style, with proven, time-tested power train and interior features at a very reasonable price for what you get compared to comparable luxury coupes. Unlike my experience with two other (unnamed) luxury marques I've owned, everything on this car works flawlessly!

Reviews for 2011 Infiniti

Overall Rating

4.6 out of 5 (120 reviews)

I love this car!

I love my Infiniti G37! I did a lot of research before buying a convertible, and this car was a great value. I would definitely recommend the same model to anyone. It is loads of fun to drive, especially with the top down. The only downside is that it doesn't get great gas mileage, but for a high-performance vehicle, it does pretty well. I'm averaging about 19-20 miles/gallon driving back and forth to work and around town. On a trip on the interstate, I got about 22mpg.

Pros

  • Styling: I love the look of the car.
  • Power: 375HP. Need I say more?
  • Ride and Handling: It handles great.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: It needs premium gas, and it does not get the best gas mileage.

- Paul Kelly, 2011 Infiniti G37

Wish my commute was longer...

It's a blast to drive! Yes, the styling is a little vanilla compared to the coupe...

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: Able to hit that cloverleaf off-ramp at full speed without hesitation. Steering is highly responsive..
  • Value: A whole lot of car for the money, and for $5-15k less than a 2011 BMW or Audi
  • Power: Power to spare...tons more than my '03 325i had. An absolute blast at stoplights!

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: The incredible power makes it too tempting not to stomp on the gas pedal at every opportunity. Unfortunately, that doesn't do nice things to the MPGs.
  • Technology and Entertainment: It's a little dated, tech-wise. Despite being a 2011, tech had changed little since 2008. And really, would you actually take the time to rip your CD collection onto the car's hard drive?

- Jeff G, 2011 Infiniti G37

High Performance Luxury

I'm grateful that Infiniti hasn't messed with the external styling, electronics, and other features of this car (including the 2014 model!) in favor of recent, new-model fads (for example, cylinder deactivation, LEDs in "smiley" configurations polluting front-end head-light assemblies, "start-stop" engine set-ups designed to save one or two mpg, etc.).

Pros

  • Power: Beats the pants off its competition
  • Reliability: Maintenance much more reasonable than German cars I've owned in the same class.
  • Ride and Handling: I replaced four perfectly, almost new, UHP tires from CarMax with Michelin MXM 4 Primacy grand touring tires, and it hasn't lost anything as far as handling, but, it did smooth out the stiffer ride of the ultra high performance tires.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: at about 18 mpg around town, its a small price to pay for its positive attributes
