Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) We've had our XJ8 Vanden Plas for a couple months now. My wife loved the looks of the car immediately. The test drive did the rest. Simply an amazing car. The drive is smooth as silk. Quiet, refined, comfortable. This is the only Jaguar either of us has ever owned or driven and the price was a bit more than what we were budgeting up front, but with only 12,000 miles on the odometer and all the ammenities and awesome ride, it was worth the little extra. If you have the opportunity to get one of these at a decent price and you haven't really seriously considered buying or even test driving one, take a look. Go for a drive. You'll missing out on something special if you don't at least try it out.

Jaguar xj8

I love my Jag. It handles well and has great performance. It's also a real head turner. Everything about the car has great quality. Get one or at least drive one.

The Ride is Stunning

I just bought an '05 Vanden Plas. At first I was nervous about it because of Jaguar's reputation. But after putting 2,000 miles on it, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CAR. The acceleration is fantastic, but quiet and effortless thanks to the V-8. The controls and features are intuitive and well placed and function exactly the way you would expect them to, without the strange quirks you might find in a German or Japanese car. The Vanden and the L series both have the extended wheelbase, so rear legroom is limousine-caliber. The seats are all comfortable, especially the 14-way adjustable front seats. The Alpine sound system sounds great, even though I had to take a technological step backwards by having to burn CDs for the changer instead of plugging my iPhone into an auxiliary port. The ride is simply unbelievable. Handling in both the city and mountains is responsive and sure-footed, without the wallowing feel of most cars its size. But the highway ride is something to behold -- smooth as silk, stable and just firm enough without being too harsh like a BMW. And even at 75 mph, you've got PLENTY of acceleration left for passing. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
