This SUV is the Jeep Patriot's big brother, with seating for 7 (though 5 of them have to be small if you want to fit 7 comfortably), and the rugged 4 wheel drive system that Jeep is known for. It has a beefy 5.7L Hemi V8, capable of towing your boat, camper, or even a small horse trailer. If you need something with a third row, are a loyal Jeep customer, and have to have something that is capable both on and off road, this is certainly an adequate vehicle. The cons include a woefully undersized fuel tank (though the mileage isn't horrible for the motor size), a lack of interior space for rear passengers - the second row is comfortable enough, but the third row is made only for children, and absolutely no cargo space when using the 3rd row.
I recently bought a 2010 Jeep Commander 4x2 Limited. I absolutely love it! It's gorgeous especially the interior. The hemi 5.7 liter engine is so fun to drive too. I guess since they're not made anymore and known to have some problems, you get a lot of car for the money. I however, haven't had any problems with it. I have a one year old and the auto-start, 3rd row seats, and TV's in the headrests are great features. It could use a little more storage room but with the 3rd row of seats down it's fine. The only thing I would complain about is the gas mileage. It gets about 14mpg. I feel like I'm getting gas every 4 days. Overall I would recommend this car. If you're looking for an SUV fully decked out without breaking the bank this is a great car.
Love my Jeep but, lately been very disappointed. First I will start with the positive. Love the look of it and features, cool 3 sunroofs, heated seats, you can sit up to 7 people, overall pretty cool car. Negatives are no space in back when all seat are up and lately tons of problems like starter goes out (supposedly) have to take to shop and then they fix it, (expensive) then there are several others things happen. I have spent a small fortune with repairs. So overall happy with look but, not with mileage and all the repairs!!!
