This is a really good vehicle for those looking for the ability to carry 5-7 passengers and their stuff. Though the back cargo area dissappears when you have all the seats up, the roof rack or an optional cargo rack for your tow hitch more than suppliment what is made up by the passenger interior room. The vehicle is extremely comfortable both in ride and in actual seating comfort. Gas mileage is better than I expected at around 20 MPG. The one glitchy thing I'll mention are the levers for the fold forward feature on the second row. Sometimes they seem to stick. Other than that, we really like everything about the Commander (my wife tells me I can't call it a truck and "Jeep" just ins't tough sounding enough for me.) I would buy another if need and funds were available.

This SUV is the Jeep Patriot's big brother, with seating for 7 (though 5 of them have to be small if you want to fit 7 comfortably), and the rugged 4 wheel drive system that Jeep is known for. It has a beefy 5.7L Hemi V8, capable of towing your boat, camper, or even a small horse trailer. If you need something with a third row, are a loyal Jeep customer, and have to have something that is capable both on and off road, this is certainly an adequate vehicle. The cons include a woefully undersized fuel tank (though the mileage isn't horrible for the motor size), a lack of interior space for rear passengers - the second row is comfortable enough, but the third row is made only for children, and absolutely no cargo space when using the 3rd row.
