I had previously owned a 2006 Jeep Commander, but due to the rising gas prices, I needed a vehicle with better fuel economy. I wanted to stay with a Jeep. The Jeep Compass gave me everything I needed in a compact package. I'm very satisfied with my Jeep Compass.
Have the limited 4x4 model. Love this car AT FIRST! like everyone said in previous review Great on everything till you get to 42,000 miles plus. At 42,000 miles the tied rods/arms and everything went (just out of warranty period) I'm not alone. At mycarstat.com all 10 reviews have the same issues. The tied rods/arms and more all went. Not a rough driver at all. Never had a car that the tied rods went on. drive the same roads to and from work as other cars and even my work van and NEVER had tied rods go at such low millage. Jeep won't even here of it. They blame it on the bad Michigan roads. come on, I have a Ford too and drive the exact same roads with more millage on it and the tied rods are like new..... Just be ware... check out mycarstats.com if you don't believe me...
I am really enjoying my Jeep Compass. I have four growing teens and the space is perfect for us. We can carry groceries and football equipment all at the same time. The leather seats provide much comfort. When you turn on the engine it is smooth and quite you can hardly know that it is running. I am glad a chose the Jeep Compass it is really work out for my families needs. Thanks!
