Used Jeep Grand Cherokee with Adjustable Suspension
Reviews for Jeep Grand Cherokee
I do love my Grand Cherokee!
I purchased the Altitude edition because of the black 20-inch wheels, great looks and all of the features I wanted. It's not overloaded but has exactly what I needed. The Grand Cherokee is one of the few SUVs remaining - not a CUV. With the V-6, I average more than 22 mpg and has plenty of power for passing and towing. Only downside is the automatic shifter. Recall isn't enough.
What the doctor ordered so far
Appears to be reliable. Fuel economy bearable. Capable of modest towing. Sure footed (can do mild off-roading). In a nutshell, it is quite a bit of vehicle for the price I paid in today's market. While I'm not a fan of electronic automatics, this one seems to shift in a sensible fashion and with no strange anomalies so far. I have already taken the vehicle on a 3k mile road trip, camping out of the back of it for 4 of the 7 days I was on the road and it performed admirably. With 1000 pounds of me and my gear in it and ON it (I've added rood racks), I got 16mpg overall, including some dirt driving and HARD pushing it hard interstates. In normal use with just me and my lady aboard it gets every bit of the 23mpg claimed by Jeep.
Classy SUV with slightly rough ride.
The Grand Cherokee is sleek in appearance, Comfortable and roomy enough in the inside, gets 18-21 mpg with the 3.6 engine so no complaint there. Also pulls my 4000 lb boat / trailer just fine. Cargo space is ample. Only "Con" so far is slight firm ride suspension ... it's just a rough ride on potholes.
