I bought the 2008 5.7L Hemi Limited.
First, the things that may disappoint you:
1. Models like mine support bluetooth calls, but not music.
2. Throttle Response is slow.
3. You will get about 12mpg city and about 18mpg highway.
The reason I bought this particular vehicle:
1. 5.7L V8 power
2. Tows up to 7,000 lbs
3. Comfort and Class
4. Nearly unstoppable (as long as you treat it well)
Ask any Wrangler owner and they'll tell you not to buy this vehicle. That's because they're jealous. The 5.7L Hemi engine and super smart all wheel drive can pull a full load.
Along a steep highway climb.
In heavy rain.
With the same confidence that it can cruise around town.
And it will make you smile while doing both.
I actually enjoy driving again.

Luxury, smooth, great technology and safety features, plenty of room, and simply a pleasure to drive. The V6 has plenty of power. As the title says, I enjoy driving again and don't mind going places. The auto cruise control is just amazing. It can be a bit on the aggressive side at times but with so much traffic on the interstate, regular cruise can rarely be used. I use the auto cruise all the time now. Wife has really enjoyed the blue tooth audio. The vented and cooled front seats are constantly used here in FL.
If you go for the 4wd/awd, just know that if 1 tire has to be replaced you may have to replace all of them together. Since it is in 4wd all the time, all the tires must be very close in size. This is the honest truth.
I do love my Grand Cherokee!

I purchased the Altitude edition because of the black 20-inch wheels, great looks and all of the features I wanted. It's not overloaded but has exactly what I needed. The Grand Cherokee is one of the few SUVs remaining - not a CUV. With the V-6, I average more than 22 mpg and has plenty of power for passing and towing. Only downside is the automatic shifter. Recall isn't enough.
