Before buying my Jeep Liberty, I test drove (and rented) a couple of different SUVs. Of all of the trucks I drove, this one handled the best. Overall it is a great car. I love the power, handling and comfort of the car for the passengers. The only thing I don't love about it is the cargo space and extra space in general. The glove compartment is VERY small, there are no storage pockets on the back of the seats and the back cargo area is very small too. I had a previous SUV that was about the same overall size with a lot bigger cargo area.
I would say if you don't need to haul anything around in the back, overall it would be the ideal choice for the money.
I love my car. I have had one issue with my window not rolling down but it was fixed the next day. Great performance, looks like a brand new car. You would think that it only had one user. The pricing was good, but not excellent. I have no complaints.
Liberty Pros and Cons
2006 Jeep LibertyRegg - Naperville, IL12/20/2008
Overall, the Jeep is a nice utility vehicle for it's size. Rides good, excellent 4WD, and looks nice. The Cons: the glove department is entirely too small, and the center council only holds a few CD's. The glove department doesn't even fit one cd case, even with the owner's manual left out. So if you like to keep a lot of nick-naks in the car, don't get this one. The Liberty also has those cheap, really thin cloths seats. So be careful to never spill anything on them, or it will definitely leave a spot. Trust me, I work for a rental car agency, and cleaning those type of seats are a pain. Leaving on a good note though, the Jeep was a great and enjoyable buy. But of course, get the warranty for any Chrysler product.
