Customer Review Summary for Jeep Wrangler

4.6

Great for work or play, not quick or flashy but it will get you there.

2008 Jeep Wrangler Anonymous - Fredericksburg, VA 03/09/2015

Not very roomy or fast and it likes fuel (only around 18 mpg hwy) but a solid SUV that with proper tires will get you almost anywhere. My Jeep has the manual transmission which in my opinion is better than the auto on 2007-2011 models and helps a bit with the mileage. It,s a ton of fun with the soft top down and you always get waves from other Jeepers. But they do stand out a bit so if you would rather not be seen you might want to look elsewhere, however if you want a vehicle that works hard and plays harder you will be pleased. Not to mention the HUGE variety of aftermarket accessories available to make it your own!

Like New Condition

2010 Jeep Wrangler Lawrence Schaechter - Cheyenne, WY 06/01/2016

My Salesman was Bart Rivkin, a man of honor and integrity. He made sure I was happy with my purchase and the fantastic condition I received it. Even when I found red paint latter on in the month I purchased the vehicle, thinking it was a damaged and repaired vehicle they stood by their integrity so much so they would have upgraded me to a Rubicon Jeep if the vehicle was in a previous accident. I had the Jeep inspected by a Forensic Accident engineer and he said it was SPARY OVER from a paint job while the Jeep was in a garage and got dripped on by nearby spraying. The previous owner used compound wax to cover up the mistake but when I power washed the jeep the compound wax wore off, showing the red paint in 2 places. All is Good.

Love Jeep Wranglers:-)

2010 Jeep Wrangler Mark Leroi - Raleigh, NC 07/08/2015

Jeep Wrangler is a fun loving vehicle. Being able to remove doors and tops makes it so fun in the summer and trips to the beach. 4WD comes in handy during snow storms and off roading. Hard top makes for a much quieter ride than the soft top, but I find the freedom panels a bit of a hassle to remove. There is tons more cargo space with the 4 door, and the fold down seats makes for even more. Not the best vehicle for long commutes, as fuel economy is 14mpg. This is my second Wrangler, I have driven this brand and vehicle for 8+ years and love it.

Jeep Wrangler Overview

This niche vehicle holds the crown as the ultimate affordable off-roader since it was first revealed. The Jeep Wrangler has a stiff frame and body to enable its drivers' trailblazing capabilities and distinct style. With removable doors and plastic windows, the Wrangler fits drivers who are interested in utility and capabilities. Its history, utility, and unrivaled recognition keep it ahead of competitors like the Toyota 4Runner.

Jeep Wrangler History

The Jeep Wrangler was introduced in 1986. It eventually was redesigned to be more comfortable on-road in an attempt to attract more daily-use drivers. Second generation Jeep Wranglers debuted a decade later with design elements to, again, improve driving comfort, with soft tops that fold easier. The third generation in 2006 ensured the Jeep Wrangler added in power windows, stability control, antilock brakes, and brake assists, as well as an improved 3.8L V6 engine. Throughout all three generations, its distinctive look has remained a constant factor. For 2016 models, Jeep Wranglers come in seven trims: Sport, Unlimited Sport, Sahara, Unlimited Sport RHD, Rubicon, Unlimited Sahara, and Unlimited Rubicon.

How It Drives

This vehicle emphasizes rock-crawling over highway comfort to epitomize the Jeep's heritage as a hardcore trailblazer. Though it is capable in cities and suburbs, critics point out that the vehicle's uncomfortable ride and subpar fuel economy encourage families and commuters to look to other vehicles for daily use.

Used Jeep Wrangler Value

Jeep Wrangler's main staying power is its adherence to its original design. Jeep purists enjoy the off-road friendly vehicle that will ensure durability and reliability in a wide variety of situations in exchange for comfort. Newer vehicles have stronger engines and all Jeep Wranglers are well-supported with standard features. And, as Jeep offers Wranglers at a relatively affordable price upon initial sale, all trims will be a good option for anyone seeking a new trailblazer.

Though the interior details and driving experience have been improved, the Jeep Wrangler's character remains the same. Jeep's loyal following ensures that the timeless style is nostalgic for the Wrangler-dedicated, so these niche models will be in-demand without problem.

Jeep Wrangler Standard Features

All Wranglers come standard with electronic stability control and roll mitigation, solid front and rear axles, underbody skid plates, and a 3.8L V6 engine. All two-door trims come equipped with standard four-wheel drive, while four-door trims are available with rear-or four-wheel drive to boot. Typical features include power windows, a soft-top sunroof, mirrors, and air conditioning to support all climates and environments. The front doors remain removable.
