Reviews for 2011 Kia Rio
Great for a 1st car
A great car for a first car. Extremely good in gas. It doesn't have power windows or lock but has satellite radio which i thought was weird and backwards. Other than that a great car.
Reliable commuter vehicle
I drive a minimum of 40 miles every day, back and forth from the east side of Indianapolis to the Pyramids (far northwest side of Indy) for work each day, so I needed a car that was good on gas and dependable. That is exactly what I have gotten with the Kia Rio. Mine is a very stripped down model, manual locks, windows, and transmission. The latter was something I was actively seeking. The car is zippy and turns on a dime, and I love having that little bit of "sports car" flavor from my commuter. I routinely have been getting a touch over 30 mpg from her over the last few months of ownership. My driving is primarily interstate, however, I also travel through rush hour, so it's a lot of stop and go. When it's smooth sailing, this number goes up. The car is small. There really isn't any reason to lie about that. I am a robust woman, 5'6", and I fit just fine... even in the back seat. However, my 6'5" boyfriend looks like he is getting in a clown car when he attempts to drive it, and his knees are up to his chin when he has had occasional need to ride in the back. I've been pleased with the cargo room though, especially given that the back seats lay flat to extend the truck space. Overall the car has proven itself well so far. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up over the years. But from the limited experience I have had thus far, I would recommend it to my friends and family.
Great for a 1st car.
Excellent on gas.. It takes maybe $35 sometimes $30 depending on the gas station. There aren't any power windows or locks but satellite radio which I thought was oddly strange and backwards. Great for a 1st car or someone going off to college.
