I'VE OWNED MY KIA RIO FOR SEVERAL YEARS. STANDARD 5 SPEED SHIFT GETS BETTER GAS MILEAGE THAN THE AUTOMATIC. ON THE INTERSTATE HOLDING SPEED BETWEEN 65 - 70 MPH IT GETS THE BEST GAS MILEAGE, CRUISES SMOOTHER. THIS CAR IS NOT A FAST AND FURIOUS VEHICLE. CRUISING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH WITH THE XM SATELLITE RADIO ON 60's ON 6. IT"S A GREAT HANDLING CAR..
Wish it was a stick

I love this little commuter car, except I should have bought a 5 speed. The automatic is a bit of a slow take off and I am used to down shifting and getting out of the way. I have to plan my freeway entrance sometime short ramps make it a challenge to get up to speed to enter traffic.
I love its comfort and accessories, just made a 3000 mile road trip for business and it is definitely nice for the long road.
I will keep this car until its 50k mark and get another one. Only this time a 5 speed.

Let me start by saying I traded in my 04 cobra in on this little beaut! I love everything about it, especially the advanced one wheel drive, its beyond amazing. Performance wise, it blows away the cobra and does it while achieving increbible gas mileage ( i get a whopping 13 mpg ). I couldnt complain, in fact mine is so fast my friend traded in his dodge viper and got a rio5! If I could wish for one thing in the world: it would be a Rio5 of 5 STAR QUALITY! Paul Walker said my car should be the Fast in the Furious LOL!
