We were looking for a car/van that sat 7 passengers. With two small children in carseats, we wanted a car that could carry all of us, plus grandparents if needed. We looked at minivans but their mileage is just terrible and we could only afford one that was over 5 years old. We considered the Mazda 5, but the third row simply didn't look safe. With my Rondo, I can fit 6 people comfortably, we average 24 mpg, I can park it on a dime, and even though it's a used car it's still under the original manufacturer's warranty. We are VERY happy with this purchase. My one criticism is the upholstery is a very light beige that is easy to get dirty.
This Rondo LX has the optional third row seats, which is one of the reasons I purchased the car. With the seats down, I have enough cargo room for a bike. With the seats up, I can accommodate six passengers plus myself. The ride is smooth and the seats are comfortable. The engine has plenty of pickup and I'm getting 20 mpg City. The most important thing to me is the a/c vents in the rear of the vehicle. There are a lot of nice little features including three ports for charging games and phones, an MP3 player that takes a flash drive, a cubby for sunglasses, and a hook for an umbrella. I'm very pleased with this car and hope to be driving it for several years.
The Kia Rondo was not originally on my list of cars. I added it after I saw it. It looked interesting. Small like a car, MPG of a car, but had cargo specs of a van. It's a great vehicle! The middle and rear seats fold completely flat and are perfect for hauling! I don't have the third row seats up, but I find it very handy should I need it. The four cylinder engine is very peppy. It doesn't feel like a four cylinder, more like a six. I don't see a need for having the six cylinder. I prefer the gas mileage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those with a family.
