Rondo Rave

Prior to buying the Rondo we had a Subaru Forester which we were very happy with but, when it came time to replace it, wanted a more economical car without giving up versatility and space. We researched the Rav4, the CRV, and the Elantra along with the Rondo. The 3rd seat (we have 8 grand kids that are 6 and under), visibility, safety, and reasonable gas mileage for the size of the car sold us. We have been pleasantly surprised in that we average 28 to 30 miles to the gallon in normal driving conditions. The car rides great, is quiet, and responsive. We have fit 6 adults and 1 infant in the car comfortably. We would buy another in a heart beat, but unfortunately Kia is not making the Rondo for the US market anymore. We have talked to several other Rondo owners and they are as sold as we are.

My Rondo

The Kia Rondo was not originally on my list of cars. I added it after I saw it. It looked interesting. Small like a car, MPG of a car, but had cargo specs of a van. It's a great vehicle! The middle and rear seats fold completely flat and are perfect for hauling! I don't have the third row seats up, but I find it very handy should I need it. The four cylinder engine is very peppy. It doesn't feel like a four cylinder, more like a six. I don't see a need for having the six cylinder. I prefer the gas mileage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those with a family.

Kia Rondo

After a couple of hours, I found the drivers seat to be uncomfortable. Needed more back support. A lumbar cushion fixed that. I am getting around 20MPG in town, which is 90% of my driving. I had hoped for a little better, but guess that is OK. The car handles well and overall I am very pleased.
