Nice van

At first, I was a little skeptical about purchasing a Kia brand car because I have never owed a Kia. But when my Oldsmobile Silhouette broke down, I need another van rather quickly because I have 3 small children. Well let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. This Kia Sedona handles very well on the road and it has plenty of room for my kids and all their stuff. This van has been a pleasure to drive.

Great little grocery getter

Let me tell you, I never thought I would own a minivan- especially before I was 30- but I bought this van about 6 weeks ago and I LOVE it!! We had been looking at SUV's with 3rd row seating, but this van had more standard options for the price and better gas mileage, not to mention the extended warranty. We've taken our 2 boys on two road trips so far and couldn't be happier. The older kids can get in and out easily and I don't kill my back loading up the baby. Plenty of room for strollers, suit cases and toys. Captains chairs in the back give them their own space, which is great. I love the standard options and high-rated safety features, as well as the space, power and comfort. Sadly, the only thing this van is missing is a DVD player and nav system, which we've already purchased aftermarket.

Lots of quirks for 19,000 miles

the service engine light went on 3 different times within the first 100 miles we drove it. The "tire pressure" warning light is going on, but playing with pressure gauges and ensuring proper inflation several times hasn't shut it off. The rear trunk latch has some sort of poor design; it takes an extremely hard slam (im a 6 foot man and I really have to wham it) to get it to secure. Otherwise, the "rear hatch ajar" light comes on after you are backing out of your driveway and the first forward momentum moves that rear door a bit. I dislike the arm rests for the driver and front passenger. They are really narrow, and they pivot very tightly, requiring a bit too much effort. The "economy" light is a stupid distraction in stop and go traffic. This light is telling you, when lit, that your speed and acceleration patterns will optimize your gas mileage. This is nice for highway driving, but the little green light flashing on and off....placed prominently next to the speedometer...is not good placemetn and is distracting. The horn is WEAK. A vw bug or a miata have a more attention getting sound.
