My 2012 base model Kia Soul has very few added "bells and whistles," but I couldn't be happier with it. It handles responsively, it's comfortable, the gas mileage is great, there's plenty of room in back for transporting a bike or other cargo, and I like the slightly higher profile for improved road & traffic visibility. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

This has been an excellent vehicle for me. I travel a lot with my friends and we all fit comfortably in the vehicle. I also use the cargo space for my bike and equipment for my job, etc and it always seems to fit with no problem. It feels like a small SUV.
I like it. Gets the job done.

I thought they were ugly when they came out. I was dead set on a sedan but I saw the price and decided to give it a test drive. Very roomy inside. Plenty of power as long as you get the + model with the 2.0 liter engine. Not a lot of cargo space but my family of four packs light for vacations. Oil changes need to be done regularly with full synthetic oil and an OEM filter every 5k. Fuel economy is right on target.
