The Kia Spectra is a trap. Make sure you have an extended warranty because you will need it. They run fine until about 40K and then...they fall apart. Longevity is not one of the options.
My Kia had these problems, which cost me time going back and forth to service it. None of the problems were actually ever fixed. I just traded it to get rid of it once and for all. Gas gauge did not read properly (had 300 miles on a trip and the gauge said full), locks did not function properly (locked out), very loud wind noise from both doors, cutting out on the highway and during idle, random idle at 2000 RPM when in park.
So, do yourself a favor. Buy something else.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY 2008 SPECTRA. I HAVE ALREADY PUT 10,000 MILES ON IT. I GET 32 MILES TO THE GALLON. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT AT ALL. IT'S A COMFORTABLE RIDE. AS A 4 CYLINDER, IT'S NOT SUPER FAST, BUT DEFINTELY A GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE.
