I purchased my Kia Sportage about seven weeks ago and I am pleased with its overall performance so far. It has a peppy 2.0 liter four cylinder engine and I have been averaging about 24 miles per gallon around town. I havent driven it over the road for long distances yet so I dont have an average fuel usage for road trips yet. The vehicle is not a heavy body style so it doesnt give you the feeling of a heavier vehicle, but the front wheel drive is very responsive on the road. This is a great little run about type vehicle and is fun to drive. The drivers seat and front passage seat are roomy and the bench style rear seat is roomy for two adults or three kids. There is a lot of cargo room when you put the rear seat down. I dont think I would have purchased this vehicle new, but as a used vehicle it works well for me and my driving needs. It is comparable to the Toyota Rav4 and Honda CR-V but at a lesser price tag. Kias reputation has come a long way over the past four years and there new car line is extremely popular. I usually keep my vehicles for ten years or more and shoot for a minimum of 150,000 miles before getting into another vehicle so Im expecting this Kia Sportage to last a long time. Only time will tell!
