My bicycle had better shock absorbers. It is the roughest riding car I have ever owned. Also, the right outside marrow is places so that it is very difficult to see where I am parking if I turn right into a parking space. I do like the ease of getting in and out.
Good engineering, AWD, good stability, eco and power mode, OK mileage, OK boot space although would prefer more space, good SUV for beginners, it is not too big to create parking problems, good leg space and head room, interior does not feel cheap, easily seats two people in the back with a car seat, silent cabin
We cross shopped a number of compact SUVs and read countless comparison tests before deciding upon the Sportage. While the Kia doesn't have as much cargo space as some of the others, it fit our lifestyle well (one baby, and 3 big dogs). Our 2 golden retrievers and weimaraner fit in the back hatch with the rear seats up for trips to the dog park. I got 31 mpg on the way home from CarMax, and it seems to be averaging 25-27 mpg with mixed city and hwy driving. Cruising along at 75 mph will only get you about 27 mpg, and you need to stay at 65 mph or below to see 30 mpg or more... The styling is just great, of course, and the Sportage gives a few thousand in savings compared to buying one of the competitors. The experience at CarMax was fantastic. We paid to have our Sportage transferred in from another region, and it met our expectations after having a "walkaround" done to answer my questions about the vehicle. Financing was quick and easy with a competitive APR, and the staff I dealt with was friendly and professional. Will certainly buy from again without hesitation!
