I had a Mazda Miata, and I loved it. However, I reached the point where I needed more room and something that consumer regular gasoline rather than premium. So, my wife and I did a huge amount of research into compact SUVs and settled on the Kia Sportage as our best option. We then checked the new cars at the dealerships and the used ones at Carmax. We found a 2012 model at Carmax that had less than 2,000 miles, lots of extras, and a price considerably below the new car price. So, we bought it, and we absolutely love it in every way. I put a set of chrome wheels on it, and it is drop dead gorgeous. By the way, I had previously purchased my Miata at Carmax as well.

The Kia Sportage, like it's sister the Hyndai Tuscon, is a great value. It is a crossoever, so lots of room but not quite as big as an SUV. I am very impressed on what I got for the money. Smooth ride, roomy interior, lots of extras (sunroof, keyless entry, A/C, good stereo, etc). Very nice looking car. I bought it used, but the remainder of the 60month/60K warrenty comes with the car. My only criticism (and remember this is a very inexpensive car) is that it could get a little better gas mileage (about 20 mpg combined) and there could be more storage compartments. But really, overall and excellent car for the price. I am very happy with it.
