2008 Land Rover LR2luvz carz - los angeles, ca01/20/2012
I've only driven American muscle cars prior to this purchase. I thought I would hate driving an SUV but I love this car, especially the splash of the orange color.

I bought my LR2 a month ago and love it more every day. It has really great gas mileage, which surprised me for a "luxury" SUV. It came with the cold weather package, which I didnt think I would use because I live in SoCal- but have every morning and love the heated seats! Every interior detail of the car is very well designed and adds to the luxury feel of the car. The Navigation is very detailed. I have fit 5 people in my car and didn't feel cramped at all. It feels very spacious inside for a smaller SUV. The car also turns on a dime which is great. I would 100% recommend this car to anyone! You will not be disappointed.
great car and even greater experience!

First off...I love the Land Rover LR2. Even though I've only driven it for two months, it's been an impressive two months! Great ride and handle on the roads (highway and stop and go). Great ancillary helpful features like self adjusting side mirrors when in reverse and an intuitive headlight system. Plus, its 'just soo pretty' (courtesy of Wesley Snipes in WMCJ:) No issues with quality as previous LR2 owners have had, but then again, I've only had it for two months. I bought the model with the Nav system and it leaves a little to be desired, but overall it points you where you need to go [newest software installed (2009-2010) sometimes cannot find the routes in city streets/neighborhoods and you have to rely on the directional arrow, and the POI feature could use an upgrade (seems like it cannot locate a lot of basic places-i.e. grocery stores, movie theatres and restaurants that have been long standing)]. I don't know if I would recommend installing the audio connectivity kit (iPod connector) for the price of parts and installation ~$825 (bought and installed from Land Rover after I purchased the vehicle) because it lacks some basc features that it seems like it should have (like a pause button), but it is nice to control your iPod from the steering wheel. Again, just minor things that do not at all detract from my overall fantastic LR experience!
They’re big. They’re bold. They’re kinda in your face. Tall pickup trucks and SUVs have the kind of ride height that gets you over, through, and around the kind of rough terrain which stops other vehicles in their tracks. If you live in a place with lots of snow, mud, or uneven ground, ride height (defined as the distance between the bottom of your truck’s tires and the lowest point on the underside) is probably more important to you than road-hugging and handling characteristics and strong fuel efficiency.
