3-month owner

2008 Lexus ES 350 The Husband - San Diego, CA 04/08/2011

Our Lexus ES-350 is exactly what my wife wanted as a car with which to transition from the minivan days back into a smaller car. It has the perfect balance of luxury and sport, technology and simplicity, elegance and humility. She appreciates the quiet ride and the superb acceleration and we both appreciate the safety and reliability that this vehicle provides. We did months of research and several test drives before choosing this car. The technology controls are easily learned, if not immediately understood. There are many good points about this car which can be summarized with the phrase "it's a Lexus" but there are also a few things for potential buyers to consider. First, the sides of this car are tall compared to the highest possible driver's seat position. I'm 5' 10" and my visibility out of the car is at the low end of my acceptable range. My wife is 5' 2" and she uses a small booster seat to give herself a full field of view. Second, some of the car's automated systems, such as the alarm chirp and headlight "stay-on" features, can be changed from their default settings but apparently only by a Lexus or Toyota dealership. These, and several other customizable components, should be configurable by the owner. Overall, this is a fabulous vehicle for my wife and our family. It's got everything she wanted and nothing that we didn't.

2008 Lexus EX350

2008 Lexus ES 350 LoveLexus - Greenville SC 01/30/2011

This is an entry level Lexus. Previously, had an RX 400h. I'm finding the smaller car to be fine and what I would have expected. Nothing fantastic but rides well and everything works. It's a fancy Toyota with a higher price. The seats are not as comfortable as the RX400 but then it's a less expensive car. I have lower back problems and the car is difficult to get in and out of for me. The SUV was probably a better match for my needs. I plan to keep the car until my daughter can drive and then pass it on to her. I'm expecting it to last for years as Toyota/Lexus does and will get another SUV in the future. The car is low to the ground and will hit bottom even on smaller inclines when backing out. I find I need to be careful backing out of sloped driveways with this car. The car is fine, however, for the money savings involved, I would have bought a Toyota rather than this Lexus.

Almost perfect

2007 Lexus ES 350 Ms. Q - Washington, DC 04/08/2007

I really love my Lexus. It's sleek, fast, and hugs turns. The interior is spectacular. Great on gas and all of the automatic features - almost parks itself with the parking assist. If I could change two things it would be giving it a little more weight going around curves and making it easier to see over the right front for short people, my husband has no problem, but no matter what I do at 5'2" I have a blind spot over the right front.
