I didn't like that I had to use high test fuel all the time , with that added cost , but got low mileage in exchange .
I also thought Lexus would have been luxurious; my Lincoln MKT & my Honda Pilot Elite both have more luxury features than the Lexus , they both also use regular gas and both also get better mileage. I live on the side of a mountain and if I stopped to send a text , when I started again , I didn't like that the Lexus would roll back & make a clicking sound until the gears engaged.
What I did like about the Lexus was the ground clearance . It's nice to GX460 sit that high & not worry about getting stuck in the snow ; and the Lexus service dept at Flow Lexus in Winston Salem, NC was outstanding .
We drove a GMC Yukon for 13 years and loved it. This car is a bit more compact (and fits better in the garage), a lot more technology that we are learning (old dogs and new tricks thing), more safety features and very smooth. We love that it a real truck-based SUV with great visability. We are pleasantly surprised at fuel economy. It claims 15-19. We get around 13 in town, but over 21 on the highway during a vacation trip. This beats the Yukon on both sides.
Many drivers who want a best crossover seek out one of the popular vehicles on this list. Why the big deal about a crossover SUV? It’s the solid mix of roomy interior and a smaller size that fits in plenty of parking spaces.
