Sometimes you have to go with your gut decision, even if the price was more than you wanted to spend. That was what I did with this car, and I am thrilled every day with my purchase. I feel lucky to have found this car in such good condition, with low mileage. It is an absolute dream to drive, even in a thunderstorm. I do wish it got better gas mileage, and though you can put any type of unleaded in the car, I like the way it performs with premium gas. I couldn't have made a better choice.
Had car 3 months. Car sits very low and cant handle any bumps. Need front end balanced and 2 new tires already. Car malfunctions everytime I go on an incline (all doors unlock, blinkers flash, all inside lights come on)
With gas prices sky rocketing this gives you great gas mileage.
If you have your eye on a compact car, the Lexus IS-250 is a great choice. The entry-level luxury car segment blurs the line between price and prestige, making it quite popular for anyone looking to get more for less. Relatively young in the market, Lexus designed the IS-250 to be one of the best entry-level luxury cars out there.
The Lexus IS-250 was only released in 2006. All changes between the launch version and this version are minor. For example, rear-wheel drive versions of the IS-250 also have a new X package with a sports-tuned suspension.
As Lexus's dedicated entry-level performance vehicle, the sporty sedan boasts great acceleration and an engaged driving experience. The ride is controlled, yet nimble, even on rough patches of road. Passengers will enjoy the relatively tranquil ride; not much road noise is going to get through to the cabin. Though Lexus has other lines that are built for interior comfort the IS-250 is no slouch - it has leather upholstery that is more than enough for day-to-day driving. Drivers have the choice between manual and automatic transmission, so it's up to personal preference.
Entry-level luxury cars like the Lexus IS-250 tend to be ahead of the curve in terms of technology and comfort. This car in particular was one of the best cars to buy for its model year due to its refined, capable handling. It has plenty of features and feels fast, even with today's stiff competition like the Acura TLX or the Mercedes-Benz C-Class of cars. For anyone looking for an even faster Lexus, consider the Lexus IS-350.
Oddly enough, one of the IS-250's competitors is another Lexus, the ES-350. The ES lineup is designed for optimal comfort, while the IS lineup is designed for performance. This helped the IS-250 stand out against other performance-oriented luxury vehicles because it didn't have to be well-rounded - it put performance before all else. As a result, the performance in the 2007 IS-250 is still relevant today.
Additionally, buying a luxury car a few years past its model year means it will be much more affordable without sacrificing more than a few features. In fact, it will typically get all the features and creature comforts a modern car may have. The quality of the product may differ, but it should be a welcome upgrade to anyone looking for a more comfortable or high-tech commute.
The 2007 Lexus IS-250 is designed with only one powertrain in mind: the 2.5L V6 engine. Optimizing it is at the root of all of the lineup's performance tweaks. It only has one trim level and comes with the following standard features:
There are many feature packages and optional upgrades to bolster the IS-250 even more. Bluetooth, while not standard, is a part of the optional surround-sound audio system.
If you are looking for something a little faster and sportier, it may make sense to look at Lexus IS-350 models.
Under the hood for all IS-250 models is a 2.5L V6 engine that can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission, depending on preference. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are also offered. All-wheel drive vehicles are limited to the automatic transmission option.
The 2007 Lexus IS-250 is in its first generation. The compact car is designed with its sharp and aerodynamic look fitting its performance goals. On the inside, the IS-250 is impressive.
