Lexus, a reputable innovator of luxurious vehicles. Falls short with the F series. The interior resembles previous models of the F series. For example, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The only difference in the 2011 compared to older models is rear view camera. The overpriced F series is not worth the thousands of dollars invested into a depreciated value of a hunk of junk. Cost for maintenace resembles a well deserved vacation to the bahamas for one night stay, that is including air fare. Overall the exterior draws the attention to the eye, but what is worth to someone that can't enjoy the ride without having to file bankruptcy due to consistent service. I give this vehicle 5 thumbs down.
The V8 is amazing in this car especially past 4k RPM. Handling is very nice although the car does feel a bit nose heavy and not 100% sold on the electric steering. Alcantara seats are awesome and interior is high quality. Looks great but only thing I would change are the quad exhausts. Other than that, just an all-around spectacular car. PS- Came from a chipped BMW 335i and this car in stock form is definitely in another league.
Regardless of what "F" stands for in your eyes...the ISF is nothing short of spectacular. I just got mine 3 weeks ago...granted it is preowned, as i don't believe in buying 'new' cars. If you're looking for a technological beast, a car that shifts faster than a ferrari, has a growl of a lamborghini, and is track tested to beat out an R8...while still being able to hold 4 passengers. Then this is your car. Yes as critics mentioned the ride is stiff, but i've personally driven an Audi R8 V10 Plus....talk about stiff. This car is whisper quiet on the highway. I came from owning a 2007 Audi A8 L Sport, and that car can't hold a candle to this one in terms of interior cabin. My one and only complaint is the subwoofer. Its a 7.5" infinite baffle sub, which results in a muffled bass, not nearly what i prefer. No problem there, its a simple add on to get an external sub. This car draws looks and stares and has a beautiful note to it. Maintenance is simple. Big Engine = get your oil changes done. Rest of the car is Toyota. Coming from 'german maintenance'...i can't wait to have my Lexus serviced. There is virtually nothing that can go wrong on this vehicle. Also, keep in mind the car has a 4.5" ground clearance rivaling some of the exotics above...if you're going to park it, go in backwards. Anyways, one of the most fun to drive cars i've ever owned.
