2006 Lexus RX 400hLisa Nelson - Maxwell, TX11/11/2015
It is quiet and comfortable with decent gas mileage. The leather is soft and supple, the features are perfect for me. I absolutely love the telescoping steering wheel and the mirrors automatically adjusting while in reverse! The headlights are really bright and help me see so much better at night. However, the reverse lights are the absolute worst. You cant see anything behind you. I immediately replaced the bulbs with some bright leds and it really helped. So many features that I love! The one touch auto windows on ALL the windows and the auto liftgate are super handy!
Well have owned the car for a month...What can I say it is fantastic. I previously owned a RX300 which I drove for 13years and 188k miles...The RX400h has more features and noticeably better ride. The steering is quicker, and the added features of Navigation, steering wheel controls, and adaptive headlights make it a winner...The fuel economy jumps from 16-18 to 24.3 with this car...a very substantial increase. I purchased this car with 88k miles and knew that it would be do for timing belt, but the depreciation allowed me to purchase for 1/2 of the original price.
What a great car value...
The rear seats also have latch points for car seats which I needed for my grandbabies...The hybrid system is fascinating and once the newness wears off you just drive it. The 24.3 mpg is what I have averaged with city and highway...for a vehicle of this size that is great. Fit and finish are on par with Lexus...
Something About The tires and Lexus
2006 Lexus RX 400hMari - Collin County, Tx05/08/2008
I just wanted to add to the guy that mentioned about the tire wear on his Lexus, I have owned 2 GS400 and they both had uneven wear on the tires. I went to a Lexus independent shop to check for the problem and the guy told me that he has just gotten a Lexus I believe IS350 and had a shimmy and uneven wear of the tires. I love Lexus but I'll be watching out for that because its not the first time I hear this.
