This is the second Lexus SC430 I have owned, the first one a 2002. There have been several upgrades and added features since 2002 that I was pleasantly surprised by. The hard convertible top retracts into the trunk smoother and somewhat quicker. All the luxury is still there; the quality of the leather, the wood accented steering wheel and dash, the sound system: all great. What's best is the ride..the ride!! Smooth, responsive, quick speed when necessary while merging into interstate traffic, comfortable seats and plenty of leg room even for one as tall and large as this driver. The controls are configured for a maximum of ease and safety, I could go on and on. I love everything about my SC430.
Good Touring Convertible
2006 Lexus SC 430Woody - Annapolis, Md10/12/2012
Pros: Comfortable ride, adequate acceleration and quality throughout. Very nice touring vehicle.
Cons: "No feel" handling, rolls a little on cornering.
Traded a true sports car with manual trans for the SC. Do not expect to get a responsive handling, explosive accelerating car.
Overall, it's what I expected and wanted.
