I have owned the car for a couple of months, and overall I really enjoy it. Very comfortable with a luxurious feel. Beautiful double sunroom for front & back areas, and a truly great navigation and sound system. As a realtor I use the nav a lot! I also think it is a great idea to have the front seats cooled as well as heated - I live in the Atlanta area so being able to cool down the front seats on a hot day is great. I agree with the professional reviews that the interior finishes should be nicer for the price. However, this is a very good car for me to use in my business taking clients around town. Biggest downside: Really poor gas mileage! Also, I found out after buying it that the tires on this car do not last very long and are very expensive to replace. As a side note I also drove the MKS car for a couple of days as a loaner and loved it!
Love the body style. Handles nice even in bad weather. Lots of features you only get with newer models. Engine could be more sporty...Has pickup but you have to nearly gun it.
We travel a lot for volleyball with our 5'10" daughter in the back seat, so we searched for a long time for a car with room and comfort back there. The MKX is great for this. Lots of accessible cargo space and tons of leg room. I wish it got better gas mileage (seems to be about 17 city / 24 hwy). Also, we discovered after buying it that, while there is plenty of hip space for 3 adults in the back, the middle seatbelt spans about 8 inches (literally) and is quite uncomfortable, so I don't think I'd travel more than just across town with 3 in the back. It's a beautiful car, and I LOVE the double sunroof. I'm happy with the choice, and recommend it for anyone who wanted to drive with 4 adults in comfort and luxury!
