I drove a 91 town car for for 18yrs. Loved it. The 05 I just bought has a similar feel but is noisier and has a somewhat harder ride. The trunk is substantially smaller. Just the adaptation to smaller size and economics. I do like the car.
2007 Lincoln Town CarArthur Carver - Lottsburg, VA05/01/2015
There is no room for my legs and my knees always hit the steering wheel and it is difficult to enter and be seated. My right leg muscles ache after 200 miles. And during a 600 mile trip with my 30 year old son (with stop breaks every 150 miles) even he complained about the discomfort!! I have a 2002 Chevy Astro van that is very comfortable for my legs.
Lincoln Town Car Overview
As one of the most established automobiles in the U.S., the Lincoln Town Car appeals to many prospective car buyers due to its spacious and luxurious cabin. As a fairly large luxury sedan, this capable vehicle is a comfortable choice with a long-lasting legacy it continues to uphold.
Lincoln Town Car History
Introduced in the 1980's, the Lincoln Town Car has maintained the same style since its inception. Though this remains an attractive decision to Town Car loyalists, it has not kept up with the changes in vehicle expectations as time passed since then. Compared to its predecessor, the most recent model had a strong frame with minor styling changes to pair with the revised interior. Production ended in 2011.
How It Drives
Reminiscent of limousines, the vehicle is stately and elegant to drive. The Lincoln Town Car's fuel economy and performance may be both unsatisfactory for the modern buyer, but these setbacks are overshadowed by the stellar passenger experience due to the spacious cabin and comfortable seating.
Used Lincoln Town Car Value
The Lincoln Town Car, a full-size luxury sedan, is one of few cars lines to be used as a limousine to this day. Stately, comfortable, and spacious, the Town Car was purchased primarily for the passenger experience. The Lincoln Town Car ended production in 2011.
Lincoln Town Car Standard Features
The most recent Lincoln Town Car is equipped with a 4.6L V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission. It had rear-wheel drive and an aerodynamic frame. Though it may have lagged behind under the hood, the Lincoln Town Car suits its luxury reputation well by being feature-rich, spacious, and comfortable.
