Great vehicle. No complaints. Tons of compliments from friends, family and even strangers in the Target parking lot. I love that the second row of seating can adjust forward or back giving just the right amount of leg room. The touch-screen features for the Nav system and Radio are straightforward and user friendly. The rear camera has come in handy, too. All in all, a great car.
We just purchased a 2007 Mazda CX-9 and we are thrilled! Our former car was a minivan and after years of bumpy, loud rides and ugly utilitarian styling, we are amazed that a car that seats 7 (6 comfortably) can be so comfortable and stylish. When I looked for the model based on reviews from various sources, I noticed there are not a lot out on the used car market. I can see why! I plan on keeping this car for a long time and I imagine others feel the same way. It is quiet, comfortable with a luxury car feel at a family car price. The mileage is fine for this size car. Folding the seats in the back is a breeze and makes for great cargo space. Rear seats have plenty of bells and whistles including a nice fold down cup holder between the seats. The only drawback is the lack of space to store snacks, etc. in the front as the between seat console is a bit tight. But that is a minor consideration and does not detract from a truly enjoyable experience.
My wife and I are getting ready to have our second child so we needed to upgrade from her Ford Focus ZX-3 to something a "bit" bigger. We went to about 20 different car dealerships both OEM and secondhand to test out numerous different models. We had some criteria but nothing huge. Basically the criteria was... 1. Bigger than a ZX-3 but not a huge SUV. 2. I had to be able to sit in the front passenger seat with the baby car seat rear facing and not have my knees up my nose. 3. Not a minivan. After testing numerous SUVs, crossovers and even a few minivans (just to be fair) we didn't find anything that had the front passenger side legroom of the CX-9. Being a Mazda it also will probably have a very good maintenance record. We would both highly recommend the Mazda CX-9.
