2006 Mazda3 Grand Touring Sedan: 5-speed automatic (w/ shiftronic), Xenon Headlamps, GPS Nav, Heated Seats, Leather, 160hp, Bose Audio are just a few of my favorite things about this car. I love the way this car handles on twisty roads, I also own a German brand sport sedan and I must say... this car is so close in terms of driving experience, quality materials for the interior and excellent handling! One caveat is the gas mileage but, it's very minimal. Don't even compare this to a TOYOTA COROLLA or HONDA CIVIC.. this car is way above the competition. It rides and feels more than what the price suggests. Exterior Looks? Just a total head turner. I mean, I get plenty of praises for this car more than when I am driving my German Automobile... and for the Beverly Hills crowd that's used to seeing million dollar cars, I am surprised they even look twice at this car... and infact they do. I even got one "beverly hills mom" convinced that she said she's getting one for herself... now that speaks highly about this car. Safety? Get a load of this: 6 standard airbags including head curtains and ABS with Electronic Brake force distribution. Interior Quality? Probabbly one of the best laid out interior in its class. This car can be priced higher and still sell like pancakes. I would recommend this car in a heartbeat. I am a big Honda fan and never thought I'd drive another until I was asked to test drive a MAZDA3.. I was a little skeptical at first then immediately fell in love the minute I hit the open road... this car blows the competition away. Value? For the price you are paying and the ammenities you are getting.. this is the best valued car out in the market today. Test drive it and you probabbly will end up taking it home with a huge smile on your face and a few hundred bills more in your pocket to spend on a nice date!
I've had my Mazda3 for about 3 months now and I must say it is very fun to drive! It had great pick up for a 4 cylinder and is a very smooth ride on long trips. The biggest thing I've noticed though, is the great gas mileage it gets!!
I bought a 2006 i touring with a 5 spd MT. It had most of the features of the S without the extra $$$$. I compared this to the 2007 civic EX, while the civic is a nice car and is a bit bigger it doesn't have the handling or motor the Mazda has (plus it cost $4k more). The zoom zoom is for real, this car will put a smile on your face. I keep thinking the spedo is broken but then I realize I really am going that fast. The 5 spd MT is so easy to shift. My only criticism is the gauges are set back far in the dash and can be difficult to read when you are driving into the sun. FYI I chose this over an RX-8.
