Great fuel efficient car without sacrificing performance.

The mazda3 skyactive has sporty suspension, quick acceleration, decent fuel economy and great styling.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: Averaging almost 33mpg from a sporty little hatchback.
  • Ride and Handling: Sporty handling, stiff and nimble.
  • Power: More power than others in its class thanks to 12:1 compression and direct injection.

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: Road noise transfers into cabin a bit.

Fun, Zippy & Efficient!

The Mazda3 is fun to drive, fuel efficient, zippy, and comfortable. There is a ton of storage space with the hatchback model.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: I love how efficient this vehicle is. I've made several long 14hr+ road trips on short notice and am grateful for the fuel economy.
  • Visibility: The visibility of the hatchback model is very good. I test-drove similar vehicles and they all had awful blind-spots. That's not a problem with my Mazda3.
  • Ride and Handling: I'm always up for a nice drive, and the Mazda3 handles incredibly in turns and has sufficient power to climb mountains and take me anywhere I want to go. It's so much fun to drive!

Cons

  • Power: While the vehicle is warming up it's a little jumpy and jittery, but that DOES go away after a few minutes.
  • Seat Comfort: The only reason I mention this is because I've taken multiple 14+ hour drives (pretty much non-stop) and after a while the seats are uncomfortable. But that's not a vehicle thing so much as a circumstances thing. I wouldn't recommend prolonged driving without breaks to stretch and move.
