This is the best handling and best looking car in the segment. It has an adequate amount of power but another 20 horsepower would go a long way. Although the trade off is the exceptional fuel economy. The stock tires create a little too much road noise on rough surfaces but nicer tires can always be installed. The fact of the matter is that if you enjoy driving and need a good commuter than this is the only choice.
I would actually recommend this car for someone who won't have people in the backseat very often. It is a small car and exactly what I was looking for (and more) for our second vehicle, but it would be too small for a family car unless everyone is under 5'5". My 6'2" honey can squeeze in fairly comfortably in the driver's seat, but only the dogs can fit in the seat behind him. It's perfect for zipping around the city and squeezing in small parking spots.
