Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (3.667 reviews) Awesome gas mileage, comfortable, attractive interior, sunroof, heated seats, love the nav system, great sound, easy to connect my ipod, rear seats fold down easily making this little car capable of hauling all sorts of stuff! The cover over the way back is easy to pop out and back in - and can be connected to raise with the hatch - or not. It's zippy, easy to drive, comfortable for a road trip, and just as comfortable and at ease all dressed up and headed out in the city.

5 month mechanical issues

Don't get me wrong I love this car, the second I drove it I fell in love. But in the first 5 months we discovered my external thermostat needed to be replaced, my alternator needed to be replaced because anytime I made a turn or hit the breaks or accelerated all the lights on my car would flicker. One of the brakes has been catching ever since I bought the car. And lastly the dash warped and of course is not covered.

Speed3

Hatch leaves lots of room for storage (great alternative to an SUV for families), comfortable drive, boost of a speed3 adds a bit more oomph over a plain NA 4cyl. Gets the job done with great gas mileage. Just don't recommend getting a northern car or there'll be a ton of rust. Unless you want to swap out the suspension, then by all means. replaced mine due to the rear spring breaking due to rust (MD car).

Excellent car, subpar power

the grand touring model has everything. The only thing I don't like is the power. It feels really weak. I'm always dragging behind in traffic. And I love the thrill of power. But aside from that this car is fantastic. Above average steering and handling. And I know first hand how well a Mazda 3 will handle a crash (very well). And it does get really good gas mileage. I get about 400 miles a tank or more, half city, half country. If this car just had a little more hp, it has 155hp, if it had just 180 i would give it 5 stars. If it had 200 or more then i wouldn't want anything else.
