I was looking for something in between an SUV and a hatchback sedan and the Mazda5 was the perfect choice. Handles 2 adults and 2 greyhounds with ease! 4 adults will fit very comfortable. Only have had someone in the third row of seats with no complaints!
Only downfall is the handling in snow. I could stand to have more rugged tires to handle bad weather.
My wife owned a 1998 Mazda mpv that she was still driving until she hit a deer and totaled it. Never had anything wrong with that van. So we have now a 2007 Mazda 5 and love it. Roomy with the fold down seats and drives very well.Holds six people so great for grandkids too.
I love this car. However, I did not realize how small the cargo area was. I can hardly go to the grocery store without putting the back seat down. The performance is also lacking, a bigger engine would have been better! All that said, I do love it! It's very sporty, but at the same time there is plenty of room for the kiddos. It drives like a race car, and is very comfy. Only looses a star because of the missing passenger arm rest! Overall, I am very satisfied!
