Mazda5 review

This car was a step up from my previous SUV. There was much more room (when the 3rd row was down) and I love the fact that it has captain seats for the middle row. I was very happy that this family oriented car came with (at least the model I purchased) had a built in DVD player. The amount of leg room is superior to any other car or small SUV that I have driven. It has handled VERY well when driving on slightly wet roads all the way up to heavy rain. I would make a few improvements if I could. *The first change I would make would be to give the middle seats armrests on both sides of the seat. *The second would be to include keyless start/pushbutton start so families with small children would not have to find keys to get in and get going. (this was a feature on a previous car and I became spoiled) *I would also include air vents for the third row. *There is a shortage of outlets in the vehicle, We only have one on our dashboard so when we need to charge more than one item we are out of luck. *I would have an AUX output on the radio for IPODs *I would add Bluetooth. *One final change I would make would be to make the seats little more of a generic shape. finding accesories to fit (seat covers) has been a pain since they are very particular to the car and really the only option is to go with expensive custom fit covers. Overall I really love this car. It is big enough to handle what I need it to handle but small enough to be more fuel efficient than most SUVs or minivans. The size is a very positive aspect of the car. I do not have to worrry about finding parking spaces big enough and with the back sliding doors I LOVE not having to worry about accidently bumping another car door when putting my daughter in her carseat.

Versatile Car

We really enjoy the Mazda5. We have a little one, and we have had to move a lot of furniture lately. It handled both tasks easily. Although we usually leave the back seats folded down, when family visits they are very handy. The Mazda5 gets good gas mileage, which was a concern for us. Some professional reviews complained about power, especially at the high end, but I have not had any issues. It has performed well on highways and when we had more than average weight in the back. The only complaint we have had is the occasional rattle. I believe they are from the headrests, and it only happens on bumpy roads, but it isn't something I would expect.
