the mazda5 looks as if it has alot of room, however it does not once the 3rd row is up,if you are planning to use it make sure you realize there will be zero trunk space. good on gas. very low to the ground. If you are used to a SUV heighth ,awful transition. wish i would have never got rid of my SUV for this. Will be trading in very soon.

We have been very pleased with the Mazda5. As a 6'3" driver, I still find the car comfortable. The car is also very quiet for a minivan with very little road noise. The car is also fun to drive. We find it very manueverable and it has very good visibility in all directions. We read reviews before we purchased the car that indicated that it has insufficient engine power; however, we find it has plenty of power with four average sized adults (in the flatlands anyway). The Mazda5 also has a large storage area with the seats folded down. We were able to haul an assembled lazyboy recliner in the back with the back of the recliner tilted back. We have not used the 3rd row seats, but they are obviously for small kids. Great car for the price. We would buy it again without hesitation.
