Customer Review Summary for Mazda Mazda5
Micro-Van, not a mini-van.
2012 Mazda Mazda5TJ Beyer - Pinole, CA12/25/2016
I had a 2012 M-5 as a work vehicle, covering a large territory servicing equipment. I folded down the 3rd row seats, removed one of the middle row seats, and built a shelf to hold parts & tools. I loved the sliding doors on both sides. The trunk hatch might be an issue for someone taller (I'm 5'7").
It was comfortable and fun to drive for several hours a day, good acceleration on the freeway (even when somewhat full of stuff). Good visibility, and enough zip to it to still be fun.
Great Alternative to a Mini Van or SUV
2007 Mazda Mazda5Eric5 - Baltimore, MD07/28/2010
I was looking for something in between an SUV and a hatchback sedan and the Mazda5 was the perfect choice. Handles 2 adults and 2 greyhounds with ease! 4 adults will fit very comfortable. Only have had someone in the third row of seats with no complaints!
Only downfall is the handling in snow. I could stand to have more rugged tires to handle bad weather.
I have a family of 5 including a teen boy. This car was too small for us. The trunk size is very limited and we often needed to place the back seat down just to go shopping for a weeks worth of food. The leg room is also limited.
