Very affordable and dependable. Fuel economy and less to maintained.
The Mazdaspeed 6 has impressive acceleration, braking, and handling. Mazda has done a great job at creating a four door sports car. With all-wheel drive traction, this car really hangs in the corners. The ride is firm, so those looking for a soft ride should apply elsewhere. The 6-speed transmission is smooth and the clutch is easy to modulate. When accelerating quickly the shifts come fast, as the gears seem closely spaced. On the highway, the revs are fairly high in sixth gear. 80 mph will tach a little over 3,000 rpm. The steering lacks some feel compared to other sports models produced by Mazda, but the effort is nicely weighted. The interior switchgear has a good feel to it and all controls are conveniently located. The front seats have excellent support and remain comfortable throughout long road trips. The rear seats provide good leg room for a sedan this size. The standard Xenon low beams provide an excellent field of vision when driving at night. All in all, a great effort by Mazda.
There is a very good amount of space throughout the car, without feeling like a canned sardine. The car drives very smoothly and you hardly notice any potholes you may encounter. Because of how smooth it drives and also, for how comforting it is to feel extremely safe are two of the biggest things my girlfriend loves about this vehicle. Grant it, she loves that the passenger seat reclines all the way back, but she has said that when we do have kids, she would love to get a Mazda SUV instead of becoming a mom with a minivan or a mom with a truck that may lack room. The technology throughout the vehicle is also amazing. It is definitely a huge upgrade from the last car I have had!
