2006 Mazda MX-5-Miata Scolmoo - Houston 03/31/2008

I was a little apprehensive at first about looking at these cars because of their size. I am 6 ft and can comfortably drive this car. I love this car. It is very fun to drive and has surprising performance. One downside is the manual transmission. I have a 6 spd. and it seems that the gearing isn't aligned quite right and "kicks back" sometimes going into 2nd gear. The only other downside I have found is that most fo the interior is plastic (i.e. door panels, console, etc.) and the plastic seems to scratch easy. So be careful. Otherwise enjoy. These cars have a massive following and I get people honking at me all the time or just saying what a cool car it is. Find a local Miata club near you and you wont regret it.

Makes you look foward to driving to work.

2006 Mazda MX-5-Miata nhatters - Oklahoma City, OK 04/29/2010

The MX-5 Miata is an excellent recommendation for those who truly enjoy driving. The car gives you an excellent feel of the road while adding agility and responsiveness on top of that, equating to a very fun ride. Should you somehow goof up, the grippy brakes will bring you to a stop rather quickly. Gas mileage is surprisingly good considering how often you'll be mashing the pedal. There aren't many, but there are some negatives about the vehicle. Some might find the car too small for them, both externally and internally. It can be noisy at times due to the soft convertible cloth, but that's to be expected.

Love my purchase!

2006 Mazda MX-5-Miata E from NLV - N Las Vegas, NV 11/07/2012

I have wanted an MX-5 since 2006 when I rented one while on vacation. Always thought I was going to have to put this off for a long time, if ever. The opportunity arose sooner than I ever expected and here it was-in 2012-a 2006 Mazda MX-5 with only 12,656 miles on it!! Can you imagine this?! I took it in for service and a look over and discovered that it had many upgrades done to it from side spoilers, electronic entry and engine start were just a few. Not crazy about leather seats in the desert but that's what they make seat covers for! I like that it's a manual & automatic transmission, so when I want to shift it myself, I can do so from the gear shift lever or hand controls and no clutch! I love my car and the price was right as well as the mileage. No way I could have ever gotten a car with all the extras for the price I got this one. No one believes it is 6 years old as it was well cared for by the first owner. I will do the same as the second-and last-owner of this car!
