2005 Mazda MX-5-MiataMr Potato Head - Atlanta, GA02/09/2007
Overall a 10 on the fun meter. Not the most comfortable car, not the fastest car and not the quietest car, but it is quick and without a doubt the best handling car on the road. No cruise control offered, lower gas mileage than non-turbo Miatas, no boost gauge, no grill to protect the intercooler and a 6 speed that should be a 5 speed, but none of those matters. Once you strap this car on all you think about is putting it through its paces. The Lava Orange Mica color is radiant. This car is a true roadster.
I have had miatas since 1990 when they first came out. They handle BEAUTIFULLY, they are inexpensive compared to other cars, they look beautiful, they never need repairs - what's not to like? And if you think I'm exaggerating, check out Consumer Reports ratings. The Miata has been rated best in its class for years.
