Customer Review Summary for 2006 Mazda Tribute
2006 Mazda TributeDissillusioned - North Carolina07/16/2012
I bought my Mazda Tribute in January 2009. It was 2 years/3 days old). After owning it five months, the transmission went out. Fortunately, it was still under warranty. Lo and behold the "second" transmission went out approximately one month ago! If I am able to get it fixed (no longer under warranty, of course) it will be the "third" transmission this car has had in its short 5 and 1/2 year old life! That's what I call a bad product.

I purchased a 2006 Tribute new and have put over 113,000 miles on it. It has performed well consistently. I have had no major mechanical problems with it - just took care of the regular maintenance. It handles very well, is easy to get in and out of, and is very roomy for a compact SUV. Even at the age it is now, it doesn't have rattles and problems - it's still really solid. When the back seat is flipped down, you can haul a lot of stuff, and you can fit three people in the back seat. We regularly put three adults in the back going to dinner. I wouldn't want to do that for a long trip, but it's good for short hops around town. All in all, a very good car.
