Pros: The Tribute is overall quite roomy for a smaller SUV. I am especially pleased with the gas mileage, which has been about 23 mpg city driving. It's an attractive vehicle, more so than the Ford Escape which is a similar car. I like sitting up high, and sometimes I even sit higher than people in a larger SUV. The ride is smooth and steady, and acceleration is no problem.
Cons: The front seats are not as roomy as they should be. My knee rests against the side of the door, which is uncomfortable. The car is kind of noisy, but I've read that that can be attributed to the brand of tires that comes on the car.
Overall, I like this car more everyday and I would buy it again given the choice.
2006 Mazda TributeDissillusioned - North Carolina07/16/2012
I bought my Mazda Tribute in January 2009. It was 2 years/3 days old). After owning it five months, the transmission went out. Fortunately, it was still under warranty. Lo and behold the "second" transmission went out approximately one month ago! If I am able to get it fixed (no longer under warranty, of course) it will be the "third" transmission this car has had in its short 5 and 1/2 year old life! That's what I call a bad product.
