The comfort and luxury speak for themselves but the maintenance cost is really higher than expected. An oil change is $110; only uses premium fuel; new wipers are $58; replace brake fluid $165; replace air filter $134; routine automatic transmission service $478...the list is endless.
Worst decision ever by buying a Mercedes at Carmax
I would not recommend this car. Two months after purchase, the car left me stranded. Turns out, the EIS sensor in the steering column went out. I had the car towed to a Mercedes Dealer, and had to pay $1300 to replace the sensor.
Now, 14 months after the purchase, another sensor goes out, and it is related to Safety Restraint System. It will cost between $2200 to replace.
Worst decision ever.
Gorgeous Comfortable Car
2010 Mercedes-Benz C300L L - Baltimore, MD08/22/2016
I drove a Audi for years and absolutely loved it, but repairs and maintenance are extremely expensive. After some research I found Mercedes has a great reputation for reliability and is much more affordable repair wise (believe it or not!) I test drove this model as well as a BMW 328i x drive (I also loved) but chose the Mercedes because of the comfort and ease of handling. I live in the city and parallel park constantly. With this car it's a breeze to get into tight spots no problem. The interior also has a bit more swank than the BMW which was another deciding factor. Overall I'm very pleased with my C300.
