Car drives well and is very attractive. Car develops mildew smell in the AC vents in warm weather. Car brake system squeeks.

3 days after purchase, I'm told the transmission sensor went and the car was in the shop. This seems to be a common problem. Now I've been driving the car for 2-weeks straight and here are my thoughts. 1) Don't buy the car unless you buy the extended warranty. 2) Acceleration is good, not great. It's not a Beamer off the line. 3) Make sure you get 2-keys at point of purchase. Extra keys are over $200. 4) Mine runs on premium gas only so you pay top dollar for fuel. 5) Some pieces of the interior are made of cheap plastic and they break easily. If I seem to be negative on the car, this is not the case. The ride is mellow and relaxing...seats adjust perfectly. The sound system is better then adequate. The trunk is huge. We have two car seats in the back and the back seats were designed well for kids seats. I'm 6'2", 285 and I fit in nicely in the front. Our next car will be an e500 or 550...we need more room overall but; this was a good starter MB for former Lexus owners.
