It has been 3 yrs now, R350 with huge leg room for 6ft+ tall, both of my kids loved it. On the freeway it's so smooth, quiet and comfortable, limited cargo space but really great leg room for the first and second rows. On local roads with traffic transmission not as smooth as my previous van (Odyssey). Engine and power are great. A few things to be aware of "The clock" is a like private clock for the driver. "GPS" is a little hard to type the address when searching because you use a joystick. If you are not picky like me it will be fine :)) Total weight of the car is close to 5000lbs so you can feel it is like a tank approaching ---- Brake system really quiet but it needed service around 40K. With no competiton so R Class still the best on my opinion. Nice car for our family! Good luck to all.
Its been over two years since my husband bought me my R350 and I just love my car. Its excellent and my kids and I just love it. There is something about Mercedes and then definitely about the R series. I do have some issues with the limited cargo space though but its okay, I can live with it as I want the style and comfort too. I just love my car and thank the lord for blessing me with this beauty. would definitely recommend it to everyone.
The Benz R-Class is great for families who travel long distances. For those with long legs, the vehicle is particulary well designed and will make travel more comfortable. Despite published EPA ratings for mileage, my R-350 regularly beats the MPG performance on both highway trips (>25 MPG) and in the city with traffic (>18 MPG). While other vehicles can beat this fuel efficiency, the R-Class achieves these levels with no compromise in size or amenities. I recently spent 13 hours in this vehicle in HEAVY traffic in L.A. while visiting a client and was never fatigued or uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the R-Class is not a "driver's" car and often feels a bit like handling a B-24 on approach to final. Ultimately, you buy an R-Class for the comfort of your family and not for high-performance driving.
