My wife wanted a different car in order to accommodate our grandchildren. After shopping around at several dealerships we stopped in Carmax and have not regretted that decision. We have been very pleased with the performance of the car. The performance of the car has been excellent. The interior is roomy and provides excellent storage space.

Bought it with 71k on it. Ended up getting transmission rebuilt immediately before we even took possession of car. Had an OD spring fall into valve body, so dealership had transmission rebuilt for us. Love the way it handles and has lots of get up and go. Love the interior (leather). Lots of room for passengers. V6 has lots of get up and go. Only two things I don't really like about the car is small rearview mirror, causing limited viewing, and the steering wheel sits too low - doesn't tilt high enough and feels like I'm driving a go-cart because it's so low. Makes it hard to fell completely comfortable in the driver's seat. Other than that - LOVE MERCURY! LOVE MY MARINER! Insurance is EXTREMELY inexpensive on these too!
