Reviews for Mercury Grand Marquis
Grand Marquis a bargain
I recently purchased my second Grand Marquis and it has not disappointed. This car reminds me of the Chevy Impala from the 1970s. It had a V8 with plenty of pickup, roomy, comfortable, and it was a work horse. I am 6'4" tall and the leg room is fantastic. It rides very smoothly on the highway. If you're looking for a no nonsense, dependable auto with plenty of room for people over 6 feet tall, the Mercury Grand Marquis fits the bill.
Yes, the Grand Marquis is antiquated. It is too big, too heavy, and lacks the latest gizmos and features. But it is because of this and in spite of this that I chose it. The v-8 has plenty of power and fuel economy is far better than any full sized SUV. The sedan seats 6. Not too many cars can boast that these days. And the ride? It is the perfect road trip car. Yes, My grandpa had this car. Heck, My great aunt STILL drives a Grand Marquis and has had several for the past 24 years. Even Daddy drove one. Why? they are comfortable reliable reasonably fast and big. They work!
I am very pleased with my car and all the features of my car. I was driving a Impala, I loved that car but for someone that is 6'7" an 285lbs and in law enforcment, it was a very tight and cramped ride when in uniform and all the gear. I do not have this problem with my Grand Marquis, it is very roomy for anyone that is in the car. I am also amazed that on a recent trip on East 64 through the hills of West Virginia, I averaged 28.5 mph both ways of the trip. I am completly satisfied with my purchase of this car. I would definitely buy another one in a few years if they were still being made, bad decision Ford Mercury, very bad Happy Customer
