A replacement for my wrecked Mercury

This car replaced my 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis which had been totalled so I had an excellent basis for a comparison. The vehicle was "tight" and ran and looked like a new vehicle. It was difficult to believe that the car had travelled 38,700 miles. one of the two problems that I have found so far is that a previous owner must have used a substance to clean the windshield which cause a slight smear when the wipers have to be operated. The second problem is that the trip miles and the odometer are electronic and it is very difficult to read them in the day light to the point of being unreadable in a bright light. If one was trying to find a location by using the trip mile unit on a bright day, it would be impossible to read without stopping and shielding the area from the outside light.

I am very pleased with my car and all the features of my car. I was driving a Impala, I loved that car but for someone that is 6'7" an 285lbs and in law enforcment, it was a very tight and cramped ride when in uniform and all the gear. I do not have this problem with my Grand Marquis, it is very roomy for anyone that is in the car. I am also amazed that on a recent trip on East 64 through the hills of West Virginia, I averaged 28.5 mph both ways of the trip. I am completly satisfied with my purchase of this car. I would definitely buy another one in a few years if they were still being made, bad decision Ford Mercury, very bad

Smooth ride, excellent power, good gas mileage for a full size, V8 powered sedan. Hard to go wrong with this car.
